How Are We Doing?
For those of you who don't know me, my name is joyce jamison, and I'm American Spa's new publisher. I've been with the magazine for one-and-a-half years as the associate publisher and have thoroughly enjoyed my time in the spa community. I'm thrilled to be part of such a dynamic and exciting industry.
The people who make up the spa world are amazing, and I was once again inspired by one of you during a recent visit to Spa Eleven, a new luxury spa destination in Delray Beach, FL. Nicole Oden, the owner and founder of the spa, conducted a tour of the impressive 11,000-square-foot facility and shared some of her strategies for success. Most of the strategies involve consistent interaction with her clients and employees. She constantly walks around the spa—talking to customers and getting feedback about the quality of their treatments and their overall satisfaction with their spa experiences. She also values the feedback she gets from her employees. By being an active participant in her business, she says she has received ideas for ongoing improvements and has implemented many suggestions.
I would like to apply Oden's strategies to our magazine. How are we doing? What do you think of American Spa? What do we do well? What can we improve? What information can we provide you to help your business grow and thrive?
