The Spa at Red Rock by Well & Being (Las Vegas)

The Spa at Red Rock by Well & Being at Red Rock Resort (Las Vegas)In an ever-changing spa marketplace, The Spa at Red Rock by Well & Being at Red Rock Resort (Las Vegas) is proving to be solid as a rock, thanks to an exciting new partnership with Trilogy Spa Holdings. Ten years after its debut, the 25,000-square-foot, 23-treatment-room spa underwent a renovation and unveiled a new look, spa menu, and wellness-focused programming as the third outpost of Trilogy’s Well & Being portfolio (the other two being at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess (AZ) and the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas). Those who have had the opportunity to sample the new retreat have discovered that it truly rocks by offering a complete wellness experience that includes “a more fully comprehensive spa program that incorporates not just luxury treatments, but fitness, nutrition, and holistic wellness, as well,” says spa director Stephanie Doud. “While the hotel has always been an entertainment destination, with the introduction of Well & Being, we are leading the charge as one of the top wellness getaways in the Las Vegas area.”

According to Doud, this update was the perfect way to celebrate the resort’s 10th anniversary and cement the spa as a true wellness fixture in Sin City. “About three years ago, we embarked on a very exciting resort-wide reinvestment of approximately $40 million to maintain the stunning quality of the facility and to provide new and exciting amenities and offerings to give our guests a new reason to come back,” she says. “We had already earmarked money for a substantial renovation of The Spa at Red Rock, and it also gave us the opportunity to evaluate our services and offerings. The arrival of Well & Being evolved from our overall goals of continuing to make Red Rock Resort the premiere resort and casino in Las Vegas.”

The most obvious update comes from the renovation of the spa space, which now offers an interior layout influenced by mid-century California. It also includes casual Italian design elements featuring a combination of textured marble and limestone with artisanal finishes, such as oiled white oak and dark bronze fittings and gold and copper accents. Additionally, to create a feeling of community, the spa features a coed relaxation lounge, an outdoor shower garden sanctuary, and a refreshed pool deck. Also updated were the salon and fitness areas, and a custom-designed demonstration kitchen for personalized nutrition and health consultations was added. “The goal in the design was to provide a warm and comfortable spa experience while including a bit of luxury,” says Doud. The treatment room at The Spa at Red Rock by Well & Being at Red Rock Resort (Las Vegas)

The updated menu also enhances the guest experience. The spa is the first non-medical facility in the U.S. to offer Lancer Skincare face and body treatments, such as the Red Carpet Ready Facial (starting at $190, 50 minutes; $250, 80 minutes) and the hydrating Sparkle and Glow Body Polish Treatment (starting at $170, 50 minutes), which adjusts the body’s pH to reveal glowing skin. “Normally, in order to receive a Lancer Skincare service, one must book a treatment at Dr. Lancer’s Beverly Hills office,” says Doud. “This will be the first location where guests can enjoy a Lancer treatment in a spa environment.” Other signature Well & Being services incorporate Naturopathica products and include offerings like the Nirvana Stress Relief Massage (starting at $165, 50 minutes; starting at $215, 80 minutes), during which guests select from one of four aromatherapeutic blends to integrate into a deep-tissue massage, and the Well & Being Signature Journey Massage (starting at $155, 50 minutes; $210, 80 minutes), which is designed to lull guests into a state of dreamy relaxation. Guests can even take advantage of more holistic offerings like Acupuncture (starting at $125, 50 minutes; $140, 80 minutes) and Cupping (starting at $140, 50 minutes).

Also contributing to guests’ wellbeing is the spa’s wellness programming. Offerings include personal training sessions that incorporate the high-tech Bod Pod body composition analysis and the Nutrition for Active Living consultations, where guests can work with a wellness expert to assess their Bod Pod results, discuss pre- and post-workout nutrition, create grocery-store checklists, and more. Outdoor hiking escapes, workshops on stress management, and interactive nutrition classes are also available. The fitness offerings have been refined, with classes such as TRX, vertical yoga, and In-Trinity Board classes, which help build strength, balance, flexibility, and coordination. The newly updated salon is enticing to guests, as well, after improvements that  reflect the outdoor garden concept of the spa above. There, guests have access to full-service hair, barber, and nail services. “Our biggest opportunity is influencing the typical spa-goer to go and experience wellness in a spa facility on whatever level they are comfortable with,” says Doud.

Thanks to the spacious facilities and wide range of options, the spa can accommodate up to 450 guests at one time and up to 230 treatments per day. As such, both hotel guests and locals are encouraged to enjoy the updated spa. To take advantage of all of the wellness-based offerings, many hotel guests partake in the “Live Well, Play Well” a la carte package, in which they can work with the spa team to create a customized one-to-three day schedule that includes spa treatments, salon services, fitness classes, personal training programs, body assessments, nutrition counseling, and healthy spa cuisine. Local guests also flock to Red Rock Resort and its spa and salon. “It’s easily accessible to locals who don’t want to travel down to the Strip to fight the chaos and crowds, and we offer discounts on some of our popular spa services to locals,” says Doud.

Whether they are locals or visitors, the newly updated spa certainly offers something for everyone, and Doud and her team plan to add more fitness and nutrition classes, as well as a membership program for local guests. “We are constantly communicating our offerings to our guests and giving them new reasons to come back to Red Rock Resort,” says Doud. “Having these offerings allows guests to experience something they have always wanted to try and apply it to their everyday lives when they return home, bringing overall wellness and wellbeing to everyday life.” It’s a philosophy that totally rocks.
