FRHI Hotels & Resorts (FRHI), the parent company of luxury hotel brands Raffles Hotels & Resorts, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, and Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts, has announced the appointment of Andrew Gibson as vice president of spas and wellness. Based out of FRHI's regional office in Dubai, Gibson will be responsible for the development and execution of the company's spa strategy, including defining and implementing spa standards globally across all of the company’s leading hotel and spa brands. "I’m very pleased to be welcoming Andrew to the FRHI team,” says Jennifer Fox, president international of FRHI and president of the Fairmont Brand. “He is a visionary who has had a significant influence on the spa industry over the course of his career, and he will undoubtedly bring a fresh and revitalized approach to our health and wellness strategies. Gibson brings more than 25 years of international hospitality experience in the spa, wellness, and leisure fields. He joins the company from his recent position as group director of spa at Mandarin Oriental Hotels Group. His experience includes time as a managing director of the first introduction of Six Senses Spas, where he grew the company's portfolio from four spas in Asia to 33 spas worldwide. He has also worked on projects such as the Atlantis The Palm, Dubai, One & Only Resorts, and Capella Hotels & Resorts, among other leading properties.
