Kristin Chenoweth Teams up with Allergan for Rosacea Awareness

Actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth is teaming up with Allergan, known for its facial aesthetics, plastic surgery, and regenerative medicine business. Chenoweth kicked off the Less Red, More You campaign this week to raise awareness for a new treatment that aims to heal rosacea, a skin issue Chenoweth suffers from. The RHOFADE cream is a new topical product that treats persistent facial erythema associated with rosacea in adults.

"Kristin is the perfect partner to help us increase awareness about this condition as she understands the daily challenges of living with rosacea," said Jag Dosanjh, senior vice president of medical dermatology at Allergan. "She is among the 16 million Americans who have rosacea, yet we know only a small fraction of that number is actually receiving treatment. Persistent facial redness is the most common sign of rosacea and is bothersome for patients, and now, RHOFADE™ cream can help patients take a step closer to achieving a more normal, healthy skin color."

In two clinical trials the cream reduced persistent facial erythema. Results were seen in 12 to18 percent of people using RHOFADE cream versus 5 to 9percent of people using vehicle cream.

“Persistent facial redness is the most common sign of rosacea and is bothersome for patients, and now, RHOFADE™ cream can help patients take a step closer to achieving a more normal, healthy skin color," says Dosanjh.
