Envy Medical to Sell Medical Devices on Social Commerce Platform

Envy Medical has entered into an agreement with California-based lifestyle healthcare company Alphaeon Corporation, to bring the popular SilkPeel devices to their physician members through ShoutMD, the first social commerce engine created exclusively for board-certified specialists to share insights, collaborate with their peers, review the latest technologies and purchase products with the click of a button. Under the terms of the agreement, SilkPeel devices and accessories including the new SilkPeel3 Diamond Dermalinfusion will be made available to all physician members with pricing, training and educational protocols customized exclusively for them through ShoutMD.

SilkPeel is a noninvasive skin resurfacing and rejuvenating treatment provided in dermatology and plastic surgery practices throughout North America and more than 50 countries worldwide.  Its popularity is due to the wide range of skin tone and texture issues that can be effectively addressed on the face and body, including hyperpigmentation, photo damage, acne and mild scarring.

With a large and rapidly growing membership focused on lifestyle healthcare specialties, SilkPeel is especially well suited to the Alphaeon physician members and their patients. “ShoutMD is a very valuable and collaborative platform where physicians can purchase quality products to most effectively meet their patients’ needs,” says Mary Lupo, M.D., a leading Alphaeon dermatologist and current SilkPeel Provider. “Now our physician community has the ability to order SilkPeel and access marketing materials and reviews all in one place.”

Envy Medical has expanded its SilkPeel protocols to include body treatments that enhance the outcomes of some of the most common aesthetic procedures from liposuction to minimally invasive body sculpting. When skin tone and texture are improved, and scarring and stretch marks are minimized, patients are happier with the overall outcome.  This has been a catalyst for SilkPeel’s growth within lifestyle specialties including aesthetic surgery and dermatology practices over the last two years.

“We use SilkPeel prior to many treatments because it stimulates improved skin function and creates a healthier tissue bed, which in turn enhances the skin’s healing response,” says Jose Montes, M.D., founder of the Eyes and Facial Rejuvenation Center. “Patients also benefit greatly from a series of SilkPeel treatments post procedure to reduce or eliminate the risk of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and to improve the texture and healthy glow of the skin.”
