Medical Spa Services Available at Sea

Sea-faring spa-goers needn’t wait until the ship docks to indulge in their favorite medical spa treatments. Azamara Club Cruises has expanded its full-service menu at Azamara Spa to include facial rejuvenation treatments through The Onboard Spa by Steiner. The seven-treatment-room floating oasis now offers Botox, Dysport, fillers, and more under the medical direction of board-certified plastic surgeon Brad Herman, M.D. Herman brings more than 20 years of private practice experience to the spa. “Our onboard spa allows guests to add another level of escape and relaxation to their vacations,” says Natasha Spencer Pallaviccini, director of spa operations maritime of The Onboard Spa by Steiner. “Vacation is the perfect time to have a wrinkle-reduction treatment, because you can go home looking as naturally refreshed as you feel.”

Prospective clients can book consultations and services with the licensed medical doctor in advance of their voyage. The doctor will also host larger onboard seminars on such topics as How to Look 10 Years Younger Today, Wrinkle Remedies and the Non-Surgical Facelift, and more. “We consider having a new group of guests on each sailing to be an opportunity more than a challenge,” says Spencer Pallaviccini. “Every cruise, we have a new set of people who need our services and want to relax and be pampered on their vacations.”—Jennifer Nied
