Canyon Ranch Kaplankaya to Become Six Senses Kaplankaya

Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas (multiple locations) is heading to the Turkish Riviera. On May 1, Canyon Ranch Kaplankaya will begin operating under new management as Six Senses Kaplankaya. “Over the next year, the design, environmental, and wellness operations will be enhanced to bring the blessings of Six Senses to the beaches of Kaplankaya,” says Bernhard Bohnenberger, president of Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas.

The resort and spa sit nestled on Turkey’s Aegean coast, comprised of rugged rocks, secluded beaches, and hills covered in wild olives and cypresses. Located near famed Aegean archeological sites, the design of the resort reflects the broader development of Kaplankaya, which will soon include residential villas, resort accommodations, a 250-berth marina and yacht club, a retail area plus additional dining, sport, and leisure facilities.

The property, owned by Capital Partners of Turkey, has a total of 141 guest rooms and suites in its main complex, plus an additional 154 private residences located adjacent to the resort. Each of the guest rooms have been designed to complement local landscape using natural and responsibly sourced materials.“We welcome Six Senses to the Aegean Coast and look forward to their contribution towards the grand vision of Kaplankaya, as the world’s premier coastal living community,” says Erkan Erkek, CEO of Capital Partners.

The resort is just 10 minutes by helicopter, 30 minutes by boat, and 50 minutes by car from Milas-Bodrum International Airport (BJV). The airport has scheduled services from Istanbul and other Turkey cities, plus seasonal services from many European cities, including Amsterdam, Baku (Azerbaijan), Brussels, Frankfurt (Germany), London, Munich, Paris, and St. Petersburg (Russia).
