Dermalogica Launches Scholarship Opportunity

The professional skincare brand Dermalogica has launched a new opportunity for spa and salon industry professionals to boost their business skills and take their businesses to the next level. The Dermalogica FITE Entrepreneurial Scholarship will cover full tuition for the Dermalogica Entrepreneurship Training Program with Santa Monica College (CA). This six-week online course will run from March 6 to April 14. Classes will cover business and marketing skills for the spa and salon professionals with a specific focus on entrepreneurship principles, financing, accounting, marketing, and various other business values that have become crucial for industry professionals to know and master. Dermalogica is positive this will serve as an opportunity to empower women economically by creating an industry-specific business skills curriculum. “In a growing industry that is over 85 percent female-driven and generating annual sales of over 46 billion, there is a tremendous opportunity for women to develop and grow into successful business owners,” says global impact director Natalie Byrne. “By providing them with the skills needed to be financially independent through entrepreneurship, we want to help skin therapists take their salon business to the next level.” Applications can be submitted through the FITE Entrepreneurial Scholarship website until February 5th. In order to be eligible, applicants must be at least 18 years of age, speak English fluently, have acquired a high school diploma or GED equivalent, and be available to start the training program in March.
