A little competition is good for the soul... and your spa. American Spa has partnered with Luxury Travel Advisor on a new awards initiative: Global Wellness & Spa Awards.
The awards will offer the opportunity for global recognition and will be awarded by some of the industry's most notable names. Both winners and finalists will be featured in a special supplement in both American Spa and Luxury Travel Advisor magazines.
The awards will be spread out among four major categories: Best Spa - regional U.S., Best Spa - Global, Debut Awards, and Wellness Standouts. Regional categories will include California, Las Vegas, Florida, Southwestern U.S., New York Tri-State, New England, and Texas. Global categories will include Mexico, South and Central America; Caribbean; Europe; Africa and Indian Ocean; Asia; South Pacific, Australia, and New Zealand; U.S.; and Canada. The debut category will include best new U.S. spa and best new international spa.
Wellness Standouts will include a number of topics, including top destinations for girls getaways, for men, for romance, for families, for solo travelers, for fitness, for sustainability, for embracing local culture, and for cuisine, plus top cruise ship spa and top medical spa services.
Winners will be featured in a special supplement in both American Spa and Luxury Travel Advisor magazines, and will also receive honorable mentions in the announcement press release, which will also be displayed on American Spa and Luxury Travel Advisor online and on social media.

There is a $200 entry fee per application. An entry can be submitted into multiple categories by paying separate entry fees for each category entered. Entries submitted to multiple categories will be judged separately based on the category submitted, and is eligible to win multiple awards. The submissions deadline is December 31, 2017.
