Industry-Leading Surgeons will Assemble at AAFPRS Annual Meeting

The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery will host its annual 2017 meeting this October in Phoenix, AZ at the Sheraton Grand. The event will be lead by Phillip R. Langsdon, M.D., Louis M. DeJoseph, M.D., and Jaimie DeRosa M.D. and attendees will participate in a range of sessions including rhinoplasty and reconstructive surgery innovations, live injection demos from experts, information on laser treatments and injectables, techniques on adjusting the jawline, and healthy business practices. 

On Oct. 25, a new full-day program discussing the complexities of facial plastic surgery will be held. "We have never done anything like this, and it should be very informative," Langsdon says on the event's website. 

Rhinoplasty will be the main session topic for the first day. In the morning, the event will discuss various innovations in rhinoplasty including topics on surgical and non-surgical techniques for acne-prone skin, nasal surgery among the younger population, and more. In the afternoon leaders will share strategies on nasal reconstruction, form and function, and more.

The second day's main session is all about the aging face. The morning will be comprised of sessiond on how to manage the Periorbital area and various surgical techniques with approaches to lateral face and jawlines. During the second half the day, they'll tell attendees how to manage the neck area then they'll discuss complications with facial rejuvenation, otoplasty, and more.

Finally, the main session for the third day involves minimally invasive and emerging trends. The morning will cover new techniques in the industry, and the afternoon will be about lasers and technology.
