ISPA Reveals Keynote Speaker for 2017 Conference

The International Spa Association (ISPA) has announced Amy Cuddy, social psychologist, associate professor at Harvard Business School, will be the opening keynote speaker for the 2017 ISPA Conference & Expo at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino (Las Vegas). “Amy Cuddy’s opening keynote presentation and her contagious passion for educating others will bring this year’s Conference theme, IGNITE, to life,” says president Lynn McNees. “Her game-changing remarks will impact how we embrace the act of being present and understand the power of our nonverbal behaviors within both our personal and professional lives.” Cuddy’s presentation will focus on the power of nonverbal behavior, prejudice and stereotyping, the delicate balance of trustworthiness and strength, and the ways in which people can affect their own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. As an associate professor of Business Administration and Hellman Faculty Fellow, she teaches people how to become more present, influential, and satisfied in their professional and personal lives. Cuddy is also a New York Times best-selling author and Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum. The rest of the speakers and conference program will be announced at a later date, and registration for ISPA Conference & Expo Oct. 16 to 18 is open now.
