Lesley Jane Seymour to Keynote American Spa’s Women in Wellness Leadership Conference

Lesley Jane Seymour, the former editor-in-chief of More magazine and an icon in the world of women’s magazines, will be joining American Spa’s Women in Wellness Leadership Conference as one of the keynote speakers. She will be kicking off the empowering day with a session entitled, “Why You Need a Reinvention Idea in Your Back Pocket.” We live in an ever-changing, fast-paced business environment with trends that used to last years now coming and going overnight. At the same time, our healthy lifespans are expanding. “Chances are your life will be disrupted and you’ll be forced to reinvent yourself—your job, your look, your lifestyle,” says Seymour. This powerful keynote will provide tips and tricks for being smart and planning ahead.

Seymour is in a unique position to speak on the topic of reinvention. From 2008 to 2016, she served as editor-in-chief of More magazine, the leading lifestyle magazine for women over forty with a readership of 1.5 million. She was also the editor-in-chief and social media director of More.com, which attracted more than 12 million monthly page views and 600,000 unique visitors. When the decision was made to shutter the magazine in 2016, she also needed a personal and professional reinvention and created an on- and off-line project called Covey Club for women who are life-long learners and who want the tools, connections, and inspiration to live their most authentic lives. She will be sharing her story.

Seymour is one of many powerful women who will be headlining the conference, which will be taking place March 6, 2018, in New York City. This thoughtfully curated day-long experience is designed to help female leaders and aspiring leaders in the wellness space develop their professional and personal goals while networking with their peers. It will include several keynotes and a variety of breakout sessions attendees can attend based on their personal goals. Additional speakers will be announced in coming weeks.

The day will also include a networking lunch and end with a networking cocktail party. Attendees will receive a gift bag, local hotel and spa discounts, and VIP passes to IECSC New York, which takes place the prior weekend. Post-event, they will have access to a private American Spa Institute  eLearning course with videos, presentations, and more from the day.

American Spa’s Women in Wellness Leadership Conference ($350 per participant) will take place at Convene 117 W 46th Street in New York City. Space is limited, so registration will close when capacity is reached. Register at www.americanspawiw.com.
