Spa Professionals Hike to Raise Money for Leukemia and Lymphoma

Spas Pushing Limits is at it again, and this time it is planning an adventurous hike to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Spas Pushing Limits is made up of spa professionals who want to do a fit activity, while also benefiting and raising funds for a charity. This past June, the group participated in the Subaru Ironman 70.3 Victoria in in Victoria, Canada, which raised money for the Eminence Kids Foundation.

Working with the International Spa Association (ISPA) leadership, the upcoming hike will be held on October 15 at 7:30 a.m. in the Red Rock Canyon in Nevada. The group will hike to Turtlehead Peak, which is a six-mile, round-trip hike. Each hiker is asked to donate $100, which supports research of blood cancer treatments.

Leading the event will be Monica Helmstetter, Spatec’s event director.  “I am delighted to have the opportunity to spearhead another #SpasPushingLimits adventure, and to work with Deirdre Strunk from Canyon Ranch Spa Club in supporting the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. Given that the annual ISPA conference kicks off the very next day, I am hopeful that many of our spa friends will get onboard, start training, and help us do amazing things for a great cause”.
