A Head Start

Mirabella Beauty Fall 2014 Face Chart We’re in the midst of summer—sweating through our nice clothes and living in humidity. Like many, some of us can’t wait for fall weather, which means crisp air, layers, dark eye shadows, and the ability to hold a hairstyle. Autumn isn’t until the next few months, but that doesn’t mean clients can’t get a head start on season’s hottest beauty trends. Amber Bowen, creative director of Mirabella Beauty, shares the brand’s face for fall, which highlights neutral eyes, berry lips, and orange accents your clients are sure to love. To get the look, Bowen recommends beginning with Mirabella's hydrating CC Crème, available in September. After applying this base layer, Bowen suggests applying Brilliant Highlighter in Latte Swirl to emphasize cheekbones.

  • "Once you've applied the CC Crème and Brilliant Highlighter, you'll have a beautiful template," says Bowen. "For the eyes, I recommend keeping the look neutral by layering Eye Colours in Semiformal and Gilded. This blend of tawny and iridescent shimmer will give lids a clean, fresh finish.
  • "With a neutral eye, there's more freedom to play around with color on the lip and cheeks," she says. "Rich berry hues are great for the season—new Colour Vinyl Lipstick in Scarlet Sparkle is my top pick. This shade is highly-pigmented, super-glossy, and will last through the day with extended 10-hour wear."

To finish the look, Blush Colour Duo in Radiant offers an orange matte hue to add a pop of color to the cheeks.

  • "The finished look takes its cue from the runways, where burgundy, coral and strong earth tones were seen," adds Bowen. "Berry is a new trend for fall, while orange is being carried through from spring. The neutral eye and highlight balances the two."
