Nailed It

Though the tents are coming down and the runways are filled across the pond, the backstage beauty trends are fresh in our minds. Here are a few fashionable nail ideas that are worth sharing with clients:

Gina Edwards, lead stylist for Morgan Taylor at Zac Posen, polished nails in Hide & Sleek, a deep blue with purple undertones which complemented the designer's palette of crimson, deep navy, tangerine, powdery teals and espresso.

At Karolyn Pho, Morgan Taylor's lead stylist Danielle Candido crafted a matte metallic manicure with a gold sparkle tip using a base of Give Me Gold topped with Matte's A Wrap top coat and then dipped in Glitter & Gold. Dark gold smokey eyes and extreme side-parted hair, carefully swept back, made for a bold, simple statement.

Accessorizing the hands at Diego Binetti, lead nail stylist for Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquer, Danielle Candido, created four distinct manicure designs inspired by autumnal leaves and trees. Lush, leafy textures played with shadows on some girls, while New School Nude nails were sponged around the edge with Espresso Yourself to represent hands harvesting the earth. Similar designs used Man Of The Moment, a rich red sponged with Denim Du Jour's deep blue for a darker look. The other two leaf-inspired looks featured a slight ombre to mimic the effect of autumnal colors using rich green Totally A-Tealing, Expresso Yourself, and Little Black Dress. Using the same dark red color palette, Man Of The Moment, Expresso Yourself, and Little Black Dress brought another leafy-ombre nail to the runway.

For Georgine and the line’s rich palate of plush silks and complimenting loose, voluminous curls falling down on furs in navy, black and eggplant motivated the shimmering aubergine manicure look that Gina Edwards created using Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquer in Seal the Deal.
