Noreen Breaks Down How To Host an Open House
We just hosted our annual Fall (in November) and Holiday OPEN HOUSE week this past weekend.
Both were another profitable and beautiful success. Our guests were tickled pink! Smiles and laughter were seen and heard everywhere! They made new friends and the events bonded our relationship with them even more.
Our drink menu enjoyed by all was:
- A bit of cheer punch
- Hot apple cider with cinnamon stick
- Creamy hot chocolate,
- Home for the holidays coffee
- Healthy hot green tea.
The food menu was simple~
- Fresh fruit from the farmers market.
- Assorted decadent desserts, which included:
- Mini cheesecakes with five different toppings,
- Mini chocolate
- Cream éclairs.
- Individual chocolates were served on a cake plate with a glass dome lid.
- Peppermint and spearmint candies were in an antique dish for them to enjoy too.
All of these served on shiny faux silver trays from the dollar store that by the way looked like sterling silver and a million. Fresh and aromatic garland, rosemary and mint were our floral décor. Our holiday décor of Christmas balls, ornaments and sparkling candles filled the room with a glow. We also always include decorative décor for Chanukah wishes too.
We of course did not book services the days of the Open House events.
We sent out invitations a month ahead of time via postcards with a gorgeous photo of a model wearing our cosmetics and well cared for skin. We followed up a week before via e-mail to remind them it is time.
The above puts them in the mood and then it is time now for telling, selling and shopping. We are all about the retailing and comb the country at gift shows for the most unique gift ideas.
We offer our free gift-wrap and gorgeous gift cards NOT certificates. In addition, for a fun twist we have available Naughty and Nice filled stockings. They contain Earth Angel and Sexy Vixen makeup.
Each guest leaves with a free sample of something they have never tried from us before and a coupon for a visit in January 2012. Who doesn’t love FREE?
What are you doing? Do you even have plans for something festive and fun?
Not the same old coffee and cake at Christmas but something unforgettable. It is not too late. I wrote the book on entertaining in your salon and spa. I love to entertain and do things that put a smile on their face and hope their tummy says yummy. It does not have to cost a million and your clients will love the invitation for food, fun and beauty. There is still time. Get cookin’.
