I like to focus on the true feelings of love that inspire Valentine’s Day celebrations instead of the consumerism, but I will happily accept a bunch of roses or box of dark chocolates. Spas are an growing part of the romantic spending leading up to Feb. 14, and Booker, known for its marketing and business management software, found some very interesting stats from its spa clients.
- Spas reported a 43 percent increase in revenue for the Valentine’s Day Season (Jan. 1 - Feb. 14) compared to the same time last year
- Massages (individual and couples) brought in the most business, more than $56.8 million
- Facials were a close second, generating $49.6 million
- Spa and salon clients increased by 26 percent
