A Recipe for Sexy Summer Legs

For most people, winter is the time for dry, scaly skin. Most people, however, don’t work in my office building, where the temperature is kept at a sub-zero level all summer long. As such, I have a mini-space heater under my desk to keep me warm from June to August. While it does the job of heating up my office, it also dries the skin on my legs terribly, which is not conducive to wearing cute summer sundresses and shorts. Thankfully, I just discovered a great at-home solution provided by Cinthya Alva, the spa director at Wayak Spa at Viceroy Riviera Maya. Here’s her beauty recipe to counter dry skin and prepare legs to look their best this summer.

Ingredients

  •  1 tablespoon almond or avocado oil
  •  1 tablespoon shea oil
  •  1 banana
  •  1 tablespoon honey
  •  3 drops of peppermint oil
  •  4 tablespoons neutral unscented body lotion

To prepare the mask:

  • Crush the banana with a fork until well mashed. Place in a bowl, add remaining ingredients, and stir until well blended.

In the shower with the water off, apply the mixture to the legs, covering everything from ankles to knees. Keep legs raised for 10 minutes. Then rinse with warm water.

Be sure to share this recipe with your clients. Having them prep their gams prior to sunless tanning services is a great way to extend the look, which benefits you both. As for me, I’ll be trying this out and likely re-applying often, as it appears I’m in for a long, arctic summer.
