I’ve always been a fan of The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, New York, and the all-natural skincare services I have received there have consistently been topnotch. So when I heard that the spa was going to start going high-tech with its facials, I was excited to see how the serene atmosphere would blend with the latest in cutting-edge skincare technology. I’m happy to report that they did a spectacular job. The spa has added CACI technology to its Facial Collection. I was lucky enough to test out Opulent Rejuvenescence, whch uses Clinica Ivo Pitanguy products, as well as the CACI machine that incorporates microcurrent technology, ultrasonic technology, and red and blue LED lights. The results were spectacular. I was a little nervous that such a technically focused facial would eliminate the relaxation factor, but I couldn’t have been more mistaken. My therapist was definitely hands-on, providing manual lymphatic draining and massage throughout the facial. And the CACI machine itself was surprisingly relaxaing, with the mircocurrent, ultrasound, and LED actually feeling like mini-massages themselves. The best part about the treatment was the results—my skin looked fabulous and I looked younger and more rested. It’s a great solution for those who want immediate results but may not quite be ready to delve into plastic surgery. I definitely give it two thumbs up!
