Thanksgiving Beauty Tips

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because I love to cook and find creative nutritious recipes to keep it healthy. While most, like myself, focus on the food, it’s also a day filled with family, friends, and photos so clients want to look their best. Here are tips from Tricia Campbell, director of education for Jane Iredale—The Skincare Makeup, for a flawless, natural look.

  • To give the face a nice golden glow, mix a little gold shimmer into your tinted moisturizer. Keep in mind that you only need a very small amount to create the glowing effect.
  • Ditch the usual smoky eye and instead create a soft gold eye by applying a cream eye shadow primer from lash line to brow bone and then apply a gold shadow on top of the primer from the lash line up into your crease. Finish off the look with a clean swipe of liquid or pencil liner and a few coats of mascara.
  • One area where you can add some bold color is the lips and a bright red is a classic go-to. First line lips in a nude liner to avoid feathering. Apply the red lipstick, dust with powder, and then apply a second coat of lipstick for long-lasting color that will stay put throughout the courses.
  • If red lips are not your forte then stick with a natural/nude shade and apply a sheer gold gloss to make lips look fuller.
