During the season of giving gifts, it's a great time to encourage clients to give creatively to those in need. Every few years, after growing my hair out, I like to donate it to Locks of Love. It's a great charity that collects strands to make wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment. It's for a great cause, and hair grows back, so I always enjoy doing it. This month, was my longest chop ever! When pulled straight (I have curly hair) it was 12 inches! It's always a bit of a shock when I make a drastic change, but I was ready for it. It's fun coming up with new ways to wear my new short 'do. It will probably take a very long time to grow out another 12 inches to donate, but I'm sure I'll be doing it again one day!—Kara Magliaro
