Wilderness Yoga Retreat

In the spirit of spring rejuvenation, Stoweflake Mountain Resort & Spa (VT) has a new “Breath of Life” Yoga Retreat ($150, one day; $595, five days) scheduled for Memorial Day weekend, May 23-25. This long weekend of wellness is open to guests of all levels of experience to help them renew mind, body, and soul. The goal of the five-day retreat is to help participants boost their energy, find balance in a hectic world, and learn the art of staying calm during challenging moments. The program includes sensitive breath and sound practices, integrated yoga studies, and beautiful Vedic Meditations. For a fitting close to each day, participants will engage in restorative inversions and Yoga Nidra. The retreat is hosted by Sama Fabian (IYN Yoga Elder,YR, CSTA), who has been active in yoga all her adult life and teaches an integrated practice since 1985. Her yoga is the result of dedicated studies of all aspects of the practice, and a continual personal inquiry into its transformative power. It's an ideal way for guests to be introduced to the recently refreshed resort, including enhancements to Spa at Stoweflake. The spa has added Ayurvedic practitioners to its staff and has plans for additional wellness retreats in the fall and next winter.
