Bay Area Beauty Association Debuted Membership Platform

Bay Area Beauty AssociationThe Bay Area Beauty Association (BABA), which is an industry organization for the San Francisco Bay Area beauty professionals, recently launched its membership platform. This platform includes a job bank and is intended for deeper, more immediate connections. The organization has also started to form strategic corporate partnerships, which will directly benefit members. Perks include event ticket pricing, free on-going webinars, access to the member portal, job bank, and discussion forums. BABA currently has three different membership levels— Individual Membership for $99, Corporate Membership Level 1 for $250, and Corporate Membership Level 2 for $400. “San Francisco and Silicon Valley lead the tech industry, and we have so much at our disposal in our backyard,” says BABA board member and Beautisol advisor Sinead Norenius. “We need to leverage that and help bring more disruptive innovation to our members, especially in e-commerce and the digital space. BABA will be that resource among other things.”

BABA serves to connect professionals in the Bay Area through its quarterly events, mixers, and webinars. The organization will be hosting its next event in San Francisco on May 19 at the Loews Regency Hotel to discuss the future of the beauty industry and how it impacts a brand’s consumers. The event will feature a surprise guest speaker in the technology/retail space and sponsors, including Perricone MD and Kryolan Professional Makeup. “We are really humbled and appreciative of the outpour of support from the local beauty community, other organizations, and the trade,” says Norenius. “Our first event had an impressive turn out including all the large players in the industry like Sephora, Benefit, Ever by Stella & Dot, Rodan & Fields, P&G, investment bankers, and other smaller indie brands. We are clearly fulfilling a need in this area and it is our goal to develop and strengthen the beauty industry community, plus provide valuable education and workshops unlike no other.”
