CND Honors Vietnamese-American Distributors

Professional nailcare brand CND hosted an intimate reception at Cosmoprof North America (Las Vegas) honoring its Vietnamese-American distributors from across the U.S. who have donated to the BCL | CND | Tippi Hedren Nail Scholarship fund. The program launched last year to support aspiring nail professionals in their educational endeavors and honors actress and humanitarian Tippi Hedren, who is credited for pioneering the Vietnamese-American Nail Professional movement in the 1970s. Kieu Chinh, Vietnamese-American actress and philanthropist, attended the event to support the company’s effort to raise funds for industry beauty and wellness professionals. Each spring and fall, the program provides each scholarship winner with a full tuition in a professional nail program at an American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery member school, valued up to $5,000. “The contributions made by our devoted Vietnamese-American distributors are changing the lives of so many aspiring nail professionals and allowing them to realize their American dream,” says Jan Arnold, cofounder and style director of CND. “This year marks the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Vietnam and the 40 years since of the end of the Vietnam War. It is our hope that Kieu Chinh’s symbolic presence at this important gathering will inspire continued efforts to elevate the professional nail industry through this scholarship fund.”
