Day Spa Association and International Medical Spa Association announce 2011 lineup of Pro Knowledge workshops

Minneapolis, MN  The Day Spa Association and the International Medical Spa association announce the launch of their exciting new Pro Knowledge Workshops, set to bring to quality nationally respected educators with 20 CE qualified workshops and two conferences in one to a city near you at an extremely affordable price.  There will be Medical Aesthetics and Wellness Seminars, Business & Trends Seminars plus a full day of manufacturer sponsored workshops.

This comprehensive series of workshops will be perfect for physicians from every discipline, full-service salon, day spa and medical spa owners and their staffs, as well as massage therapists, aestheticians, cosmetologists and wellness practitioners.

The new Pro Knowledge Workshops are not trade shows. They are education events designed to give attendees the tools to take their business to the next level. Each conference will feature pre-negotiated low cost hotel rooms, 24 hour airport to hotel shuttles, easy interstate access and Internet capabilities with easy access to local restaurants and entertainment. Registration Fees are flexible with one day for $165, two days for $220 and all three days for only $300. The Registration Fee includes lunch each day and all attendees will receive a 1 year membership in either association – a $195 value. DSA Conference Schedule: This new DSA and IMSA regional education program will be hosted in Indianapolis on January 15 to 17, Nashville from April 2 to 4, Minneapolis from July 16 to 18 and Portland, OR from September 24 to 26, 2011.

Medical Aesthetics: Hosted by the IMSA, this workshop section will be perfect for surgeons, nursing professionals, physicians, spa and wellness practice owners as well as anyone involved in aesthetic medicine. Dr. Patrick Byrne, MD FACS, Director of Facial plastic Surgery, Johns Hopkins Scholl of Medicine, will present The Human Face – Expression, Beauty & Youth with Principles for the Thoughtful Practitioner. Dr Anthony Brissett, MD FACS, Chief of Facial Reconstruction and Plastic Surgery, Baylor College of Medicine, will be discussing Microtia repair, Rhinoplasty, and facial Rejuvenation. Dr. Bruce Freedman, MD FACS will present Polyphenolic Antioxidants and Multimodal Intervention For Skin Rejuvenation. Lauren Olson, PZ-C will present Pre and Post Usage of Spa Therapies To Improve Surgical Outcomes. Jim Larkey will present Advances in the Use of Computer assisted Photo Analysis. 

Wellness & Aesthetics: these workshops are designed to give attendees insight into how to respond to the growing consumer demand for a wellness component to aesthetics. Hosted by the IMSA, speakers include Tamayra Comeaux, MD, NMD will present Beyond Bio-Identicals, Rescue For The Glandular Failure; Dr. Christian H. Reichart, DC, CCSP will present Spa & Well Being – Innovative New Therapies; Jimm Harrison, Master Aromatherapist will present Inside & Out – Innovations In Nutritional / Holistic Skin & Beautycare; Dr. Harry Fallick, DO, who will present Glycation & The Dermis – Keys To Intrinsic Aging.
