Deborah Lippmann is partnering with Inez Van Lamsweerde, renowned fashion and art photographer, to launch a new shade, Break 4 Love. Known as Inez and Vinoodh, Inez and her husband Vinoodh Matadin have been partners in the photography arena for nearly three decades. “Inez is iconic, understated, and effortlessly chic,” says Lippmann. Having worked together with Inez for nearly twenty years on editorial and advertising shoots, the two developed Break 4 Love, a bubblegum hue, which was inspired by the colored and shaped nails of the women of the TV series Mad Men. Inez combined two of her favorite Deborah Lippmann nail colors, Daytripper and P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing). The shade was named after Inez’s favorite techno song. Reflecting the inspiration behind the shade, the carton features a self-portrait of Inez wearing a blond wig with a playful show of her hands and nails. In addittion, a percentage of proceeds will be donated to the Every Mother Counts, a campaign to end preventable deaths caused by pregnancy and childbirth around the world, founded by Christy Turlington.
