DermaMed Solutions’s Ginger Hodulik to Speak at IECSC Las Vegas

Ginger Hodulik, MS, CNS,  the VP of Research and Development at DermaMed Solutions, will be a featured speaker at the International Esthetics, Cosmetics & Spa Conference Las Vegas, which takes place June 22-24 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Hodulik will present on the topic Creating Holistic Nutrition Programs in a Medical Environment, as part of the Medical Spa education track. The focus of Hodulik’s 60-minute seminar is focused on healing the body with a “Whole-istic” approach to nutrition. “What do you think of when you hear the word holistic?" asks Hodulik. “Do you think of some sort of unfounded approach used by granola crunchers? In reality, holistic means emphasizing the importance of the whole and the interdependence of its parts.  A holistic approach, when applied to the science of skin care is critical to achieving and maintaining healthy skin.”

Hodulik will educate doctors, medical professionals, and estheticians on the important nutritional considerations to be included in the medial aesthetics environment with the goal of promoting long-term skin and overall health. “Nutrition is a key component in managing the inflammation that leads to chronic skin conditions and “inflamm-aging,” she says. “The same immune receptors that line our gut also are found in the skin. When our gut health is compromised and we are in a state of internal inflammation, our skin shows the signs.”

As co-owner and VP of R&D for DermaMed Solutions, Hodulik combines her strong business background with her knowledge of clinical nutrition to offer integrated solutions to her spa and medical clients. Her focus is on researching the latest scientific advances in skincare and incorporating them into DermaMed’s approach. DermaMed’s goal is to create new innovations in skincare which offer superior results due to the “whole person” nature of the program.
