EX∙TRACTS: ESSENTIALS FOR SPA, HOME AND TRAVEL NOVEMBER 12-15, 2005

In response to the global surge in all things spa, an all-new EX∙TRACTS: Essentials for Spa, Home and Travel will launch this fall. Co-located with the International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show® (IH/M&RS), the all-new edition of the established personal care and wellness show will feature cutting-edge spa products for hotels, resorts, day spas, wellness centers and home spas, expanding buying opportunities for both the professional and retail sectors of the hospitality and spa industries. Following a full-day industry conference — Spa Vision Forum — on Saturday, November 12, EX∙TRACTS will present three days of exhibits, Sunday, November 13 through Tuesday, November 15, 2005, at New York City's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. The show will feature 175 exhibitors, presenting more than 400 lines, and will attract some 10,000 attendees.

THE MARKET
EX∙TRACTS: Essentials for Spa, Home and Travel will bring together the industry's newest and most exciting products for both the professional and personal spa sectors. The show will present two special sections, Natural Products and Tools for the Trade, which deliver focused collections of products of natural origin, as well as packaging components and other business-to-business resources. Prior to the three days of exhibits, EX∙TRACTS will host the Spa Vision Forum, a full-day conference presented by The Day Spa Association and The International Medical Spa Association. With keynote speakers and two full tracks of educational sessions—one for wellness spas and resorts, and the other for day, destination and resort spas — Spa Vision Forum will present 16 sessions covering spa financing, staffing and operations, spa marketing, industry trends and ways to boost sales of home spa products. Whether participants are just starting a spa venture or looking to build an existing spa business, Spa Vision Forum will provide vital information, strategies and insights from spa industry experts.

Hannelore R. Leavy, founder and executive director, The Day Spa Association and The International Medical Spa Association, will open the conference with an industry overview, while the luncheon keynote address will be given by Kat James, nationally renowned holistic beauty expert, author and public television host of The Truth About Beauty.
