Global Beauty Leader, Clarins, Becomes Gold Sponsor of 2010 Global Spa Summit

The Global Spa Summit (GSS) today announced that Clarins, the global beauty and spa treatment leader, has become a Gold Sponsor of the 2010 Summit being held in Istanbul, Turkey from May 16-19. The GSS also announced a new group of Silver Sponsors, including SpaBooker, a new Internet-based SaaS (software-on-demand) booking and management solution for spas and salons. Also joining is SpaSoft, a well-established spa software company (owned by Par Springer-Miller) with deep relationships in the hospitality industry. Additionally, two widely recognized spa product companies, Sodashi and [comfort zone, are supporting the spa and wellness industry as Silver Partners.

“The Summit has attracted an unprecedented roster of marquis sponsors this year. For instance, the worldwide beauty powerhouse, Clarins, has been innovating skincare, natural products and spa treatments for over five decades,” noted Pete Ellis, Chairman of the Board of the Global Spa Summit. “It’s especially gratifying to see these cutting-edge product and technology companies (who can be competitors in the marketplace) come together to mutually support each other and the industry with the common goal of ‘Joining together. Shaping the future’ – the Global Spa Summit’s stated mission.”

Clarins:

Clarins, the Summit’s Special Events Sponsor, is generously supporting two events: a gala dinner at Turkey’s leading spa/boutique hotel, Les Ottomans, and a Bosphorus Cruise and cocktail party.

The Clarins (www.clarins.com) story began 50 years ago in a Parisian Beauty Institute created by Jacques Courtin Clarins, devoted to face and body treatments and products exclusively made from plant extracts. Today the Clarins Group is an international leader in the premium skincare, beauty, spa and fragrance markets, with a global network of 20 subsidiaries and over 6,000 staff worldwide. Additionally, Clarins has its own branded Skin Spas in 60 locations around the world, ‘Spas by Clarins’ partnerships in more than 30 luxury hotels (as far a field as the Seychelles, Mauritius, Mexico, Japan and Dubai), and a Gold Partner program with privately owned day spas and salons worldwide. Clarins’ spa treatments combine plant ingredients with an exclusive 100% manual application technique, and high-performance laboratory knowledge. The company will soon launch a new brand for high-end hotels, “My Blend,” a revolutionary new system based on personal prescription (that will be unveiled in Q2 at the new Raffles Royal Monceau Paris).

“We’re delighted to be contributing to the worldwide development of the industry by participating in the 2010 Global Spa Summit,” said Ghislain Waeyaert, Director of Clarins Spa Activities. “Spa is a cornerstone of Clarins, and prestigious hotels around the world have chosen our expertise to ensure the very best of well-being for their guests. We welcome this unique opportunity to connect with global decision-makers in the industry.”
