Global Spa Summit Announces Exclusive Experience for Summit

Delegates at COMO Shambhala Estate in Bali Award-Winning Spa Will Offer Unique Pre-Summit Wellness Retreat Tailored for Industry Leaders and Yoga Retreat at Uma Ubud

The Global Spa Summit (GSS), the leading annual event for spa and wellness industry executives, today
announced that COMO Shambhala will offer delegates the opportunity to experience either an exclusive threeday pre-Summit stay at its awardwinning COMO Shambhala Estate, or a two-night yoga retreat at its sister
property, Uma Ubud. The retreats, which will take place concurrently prior to the May 15–18 Summit, are tailored for leaders of the spa and wellness industries. Accommodations are available on a first-come, first-serve basis starting January 13.

During the pre-Summit retreats, delegates can choose from activities such as tai chi, wellness talks, yoga and Pilates, meditation, hydrotherapy, Estate walks, and shopping in the cultural heart of Bali along with COMO’s famous spa treatments. At the Uma Ubud yoga retreat, delegates can participate in special yoga sessions and guided rice paddy walks. Those staying at both properties will be invited to enjoy a traditional 'Shambhala' moveable feast at the Estate’s five, themed residences on May 14.

Summit rates for both retreats are unprecedented, as the COMO staff welcomes the international
community of spa and wellness leaders to Bali and introduces them to one of the top spas in the world.
Special rates include daily breakfast and dinner; participation in an extensive array of activities; a complimentary massage; use of fitness amenities; a gala dinner night; services of a personal
assistant; and other luxury offerings. Additionally, special discounts are available on signature
spa treatments.

The Global Spa Summit is the only event where senior spa and wellness executives come together in a think tank-like environment to tackle industry issues and goals. During the Summit, delegates experience three days of keynote addresses, interactive panels, research presentations and breakout workshops, as well as hosted dining and networking events.

The theme of this year’s Summit is “Engage the Change: The Customer. The Money. The Future.” Under this banner, delegates will explore emerging markets, business models and investment opportunities, consumer demographics, tourism and health concepts and powerful new ways of engaging with customers.
