HEALING TOUCH SUMMER SPA PARTY AT HOTEL LOS GATOS!

Want a great excuse for a wonderful Girls Night Out? Don't miss the second annual Healing Touch Spa Party on Thursday, August 18th, at the gorgeous Hotel Los Gatos & Spa in downtown Los Gatos, California. Benefiting San Jose-based Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence, a truly heroic agency, the fundraiser is not your mother's rubber-chicken charity dinner. The 2004 event was a sellout success, attracting over 200 women for a fabulous and empowering evening of what The Today Show called 'pampering with a purpose.'

"We had a blast last year, and reviews were overwhelmingly positive," said Peggy Wynne Borgman President of Preston Wynne Spas and Chair of the Healing Touch Spa Party. "Guests expressed delight in the unusual format, great social interaction, and the thoughtful integration of Next Door's vital cause into a very entertaining experience. This year's event will be in the beautiful Mediterranean courtyard of the Hotel Los Gatos and Spa, poolside under the palms, and throughout the hotel. We added a posh VIG (Very Important Giver) Suite for our most generous guests."

At this year's event, purpose-driven partiers can indulge in cocktail-length spa treatments, including mini massage and foot treatments in the poolside grotto, facial treats and mini makeovers, and much more in the resident Preston Wynne Spa. You'll splash in a chocolate fountain and shop for the latest in spa products from exclusive specialty lines. A tantalizing silent auction will unleash fierce competition for spa gift packages donated by great local facilities as well as a raft of other goodies. Guests are invited on a 'treasure hunt' to learn about Next Door's programs, and the treasure for one lucky winner will be a private spa party for 12 hosted by Preston Wynne Spa located in the hotel.. Party goers will also receive lavish goodie bags, enjoy live music, and savor appetizers catered by Kuleto's Restaurant.

Domestic violence is a massive public health problem, and the spa industry is dedicated to improving health and well-being for everyone. We confirmed last year that this partnership was a huge success in raising awareness. This year, along with awareness, we're hoping to raise $50,000! And we need your help to get there. The agency's vital programs are threatened by government budget cuts, and Next Door's services in Santa Clara Country are already being reduced. Next Door operates an emergency shelter, provides long term transitional housing for women and children, and delivers a wide array of services, including legal counseling, children's programs, and programs to protect seniors from abuse. The agency is struggling to maintain service levels, but major grants it has relied on in the past are being eliminated or reduced. New sources of private funding are needed if Next Door is to continue saving lives.
