MIDWEST DESTINATION SPA OPENS SUCCESSFULLY DESPITE TURBULENT TIMES

Sundara Spa, Wisconsin's first luxury destination spa, has officially opened. Sundara, which is the Sanskrit word for 'beautiful,' is nestled on 26 acres of wooded hills on the outskirts of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. Programs and spa treatments "blend modern wellness techniques with ancient wisdom."

The intimate spa includes 26 luxury suites, each with a distinctive spa-quality bath and fireplace. Outside, guests can enjoy the patios, fireplaces, and infinity-edge pools heated year-round. Winter snowshoe treks will lead way to spring hiking and golf. "The spa is very unique and incredibly beautiful," says Eva Jensch of Spa Concepts International, who consulted on the project for more than 3 years. 'The exquisite finishes, the attention to detail and the staff's eagerness to please will impress even the most seasoned spa-goer. This spa is definitely in a class of it's own in the Mid-West. '

Sundara is classified as a 'destination spa' because it offers a complete experience, luxury guest suites overlooking a beautiful white pine forest, wellness programs, professional spa services and healthful spa cuisine . Each spa visit begins with a proprietary Purifying Bath Ritual to cleanse the skin and clear the mind. Yoga instruction is offered, and the fitness studio is available all day. Treatment specialists boasting credentials from top spas around the country have been recruited to Sundara.

The botanical-based line of private label products draws ingredients from the surrounding land. Most unusual among the offerings is the Sundara Sandstone Polish, which uses Cambrian sandstone from the spa's excavation site. Lab testing determined it was an ideal exfoliant. This particular sandstone is found in just three locations in the world, with Wisconsin Dells being the only place in North America.
