Anne Bramham, founder of the Advanced Spa Therapy Education & Certification Council (ASTECC), announced an alliance with the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, OR, to offer training in therapeutic modalities. With the new partnership, naturopathic practitioners can now enroll in an ASTECC Spa Management & Leadership training program. Designed to educate participants in integrative medicine, the program teaches how to successfully work in spa and wellness environments, combining various aspects of spa operations, such as budgeting, facility and equipment management, marketing, and more. “We strongly feel that naturopathic doctors can play a significant role in the spa industry’s future growth and development,” says Bramham. “We’re very much looking forward to collaborating with NCNM to prepare these professionals for a fulfilling and progressive career path.”
