Spa Concepts Retained for Radisson's Global Spa Strategy

Spa Concepts International has recently been retained by Carlson Hotels to develop a global spa strategy for Radisson Hotels & Resorts, including the launch of the Radisson Blu hotel brand in the U.S.   “Radisson Blu, globally,  is one of the world’s most upscale hotel brands with world-class spas that provide amenities and services that matter most to the guest,' says Eva Jensch, Principal of Spa Concepts. 'Radisson’s values of operating in a way that is respectful of human rights, socially equitable and environmentally sustainable aligns with my views on managing business in a responsible manner, building trust and relationships to achieve great spas and unparalleled service.'

Radisson Blu, a high end hotel brand recognized internationally for their fresh, chic and sophisticated approach,  is launching their first Radisson Blu in North America at the Radisson Blu Aqua Chicago which includes a large spa facility. Carlson is planning to open at least five Radisson Blu hotels in key gateway U.S. cities within the next five years with the next hotel already in planning at the Mall of America in their corporate hometown of Minneapolis, MN. 'I look forward to helping Carlson Hotels position their spas as a contemporary responsible business that helps people get what they want and need most out of their spa experience with a chic and fresh approach,' adds Jensch.

SCI has also started work on its seventh Starwood spa project in Asia Pacific in the last four years as part of the Spa Botanica consulting team, a group that was formed after SCI’s development of the award winning Spa Botanica at the Sentosa Resort & Spa in Singapore. Jensch personally has worked on a large thermal springs spa in Bulgaria  within the last year and is currently exploring a potential new spa in Death Valley for Xanterra Parks and Resorts.  SCI was recently called back, after a two year hiatus, to develop an exciting Arabian desert based spa project in Wadi Rum, Jordan, a spectacular desert location and home to D. H. Lawrence as well as the unique Bedouin tribes of the region.  The site is most well known for where the movie 'Lawrence of Arabia” was filmed.
