With this program, Resources & Development will offer a unique Spa Lab where participants will assume the roll of a guest to study best practices and how it feels to be in the shoes of a guest. Participants will enjoy an afternoon in the 30,000 square-foot Spa Vita di Lago at The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Las Vegas. Spa Vita di Lago is a sanctuary where truth, beauty and freedom meet mind, body and soul. At the end of the Spa Lab, participants will discuss what factors can drastically impact profitability, how the check-in and check-out process could be stream-lined, identifying what kind of staff personality is needed to provide five-diamond service and why consistency is so important.

The program is complete with speakers with a variety of hospitality backgrounds. Ms. Sheri J. Broedlow, currently a public relations consultant, will review public relations strategies and how to implement successful media campaigns. Her background is with hotel companies such as Bellagio, The Mirage, MGM Grand, Treasure Island, Golden Nugget and Bacara Resort & Spa.

Mr. Jack Burkam, former vice president of sales and marketing and general manager, with companies such as TWA, Las Vegas Hilton, Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa and Mirbeau Inn & Spa will review a variety of ways participants can maximize their spa and hotel performance. He will share successful strategies all geared toward maximizing profitability.

Ms. Zahira J. Coll, creator of "Ready-to-Use Business Tools" for spas and resorts and former human resources director, executive spa director and resort manager, will inform participants of human resources principles and share lessons learned in managing

Mr. Skip Williams is a recognized industry speaker and author of "The Reluctant Spa Director and The Mission Dream," "Ready-to-Use Business Plan with Financials," and "How to Build a Spa," amongst other publications.
