Spa Finder President Susie Ellis was featured on The Jane Pauley Show on September 27. The segment, entitled "Dream Jobs," featured Ellis in her role as "Spa Tester." 'I was happy to be able to talk about destination, resort and day spas and give the entire industry some visibility,' Ellis told SpaTrade. Giving an overview of her company, Ellis stated: "We have the web site, Spafinder.com, Luxury Spa Finder magazine, and a national gift certificate program." Ellis described her career visiting spas all over the world. "I find spas for consumers," said Ellis, "I'm looking for what's new in spas...what's good, what's not so good. Then I present it to consumers through my column in the magazine and on the web site."
When Jane Pauley asked the sticky question, "Is there such a thing as a bad spa?" Ellis diplomatically answered, "Well, I think there are certainly better spas, and there are sometimes not such great experiences. Sometimes it's just not a good match." When Pauley asked if her favorite spa treatment was, "better than sex, Ellis quickly retorted, "My husband is watching...definitely not!" When asked to describe how she met her husband Peter at the Golden Door Spa, Ellis chimes in sweetly, "The spa world has been very good to me."

The company recently announced the completion of a dramatic redesign and editorial upgrade of its 10-year-old flagship title, Spa Finder Magazine, the world's largest spa information and lifestyle publication. Led by new Editor in Chief Gary Walther, the re-titled Luxury SpaFinder Magazine debuted with its September/October issue, and is available on newsstands nationwide.
