InterContinental Montelucia Resort sold to KSL Capital Partners

Denver private-equity firm KSL Capital Partners LLC has purchased the InterContinental Montelucia Resort & Spa, a 293-room luxury property in Scottsdale, Ariz., near Phoenix. A statement Monday from KSL did not indicated the seller or the purchase price. However, the Wall Street Journal reports that KSL paid $115 million to five banks, led by Germany's Eurohypo AG, that foreclosed on the property two years ago, shortly after it opened in late 2008. Client at Doral Spa Suing Massage Therapist For Sexual Assault

WSVN TV reports that a customer who was allegedly violated on the massage table at the Marriot-owned Doral Golf Resort and Spa plans on suing her massage therapist. The victim, a 29-year-old mother of two, said she was assaulted on Jan. 23. Police said David Munoz, 27, allegedly sexually assaulted her. According to the arrest report, 'The victim immediately told the defendant 'no' and 'stop' but did not remove his finger(s) until the victim put her hand on his chest and pushed him away.' The Claremont Hotel Club & Spa files for bankruptcy

The Claremont Hotel Club & Spa has filed bankrupcy. Tuesday's bankruptcy filing included four other luxury hotels around the country that the group CNL-AB seized from Morgan Stanley during a foreclosure auction last week. The Claremont and the other hotels will continue to operate during the bankruptcy. The 279-room Claremont was built in three phases between 1915 and 1988. It has hosted the likes of Louis Armstrong, but has more recently fallen on hard times as the recession has reduced luxury spending. A night at the hotel can cost more than $400.
