Experience This Calming Cocoon at the Four Seasons Resort Bali

Guests at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay can now enjoy story time and being rocked gently to sleep in a womb-like cocoon thanks to the debut of the Sacred Nap (complimentary for guests; starting at $23, 60 minutes), a new relaxation technique that leaves participants feeling refreshed and recharged.

“A master of peace and committed to sharing ways to love and connect, Fera, our resident wellness mentor and an ex-Buddhist nun of seven years, was inspired to create our newest experience at The Sacred River Spa after giving birth to her first child,” says regional spa director Luisa Anderson. “She discovered that singing, rocking, and sweet speech were all it took to soothe her infant and knew that as adults we had forgotten this sweetness.”

As a result, the spa introduced the afternoon air nap, which takes place suspended from the ceiling of the bamboo Dharma Shanti Bale in a 100 percent pure silk hammock. Guests are encouraged to nod off while listening to the sounds of nature and the life story of Buddha, as told by Fera. “It’s extraordinary to experience, and most guests are reborn after this simple and inspirational nap,” says Anderson. “It’s like a return to the womb.”
