Sonnets Inspire Spa Services

Spa-goers are sure to be waxing poetic after experiencing the new offerings at The Betsy-South Beach (Miami). The refreshed menu at The Betsy Wellness Garden & Spa reflects the hotel’s commitment to philanthropy, arts, culture, and education (PACE) with five treatments inspired by poetry. “Using global culture as inspiration for the creation of our treatments and then breathing life into them through beautiful language of the greatest poets in the world is simply something they never forget,” says Deborah Briggs, Ph.D., vice president of philanthropy who oversees PACE. “Betsy’s property motto is ‘Expect No More. This is Happiness.’ Penned by our owner’s father, poet Hyam Plutzik, it’s a constant reminder that every Betsy moment matters, and that a great poem has a magical way of bringing together mind, body, and spirit.” The poetic treatments include The Daylight Sonata ($109, 60 minutes) inspired by Peter Kantor, The Road Not Taken ($109, 50 minutes) inspired by Robert Frost, The Still Life ($139, 80 minutes) inspired by Lao Tzu, The Impressionist ($139, 80 minutes) inspired by Gae Aulenti, and The Betsy Movement ($159, 90 minutes) inspired by Rabindranath Tagore.
