Step-By-Step: Subtle Spring Nail Art

It's officially spring this week, and the gloves are off along with scarves and hats, at least for now. It's that time when many clients may be looking for a mani-pedi refresh and this simple nail art look is perfect way to add some pizzazz to tips. Follow along with Rita Remark, global lead educator for Essie and celebrity manicurist, to learn how to add a bit of arm candy to clients' tips this season. This design is inspired by friendship bracelets and promises an arm party for each digit.

    After a thin layer of ridge filling primer, apply two coats of Excuse Me, Sur.
  2. Using a striping brush, apply two horizontal lines of Backseat Besties across the nail at a slight angle.
  3. Add a line of All the Wave crossing the first lines.
  4. Add two lines of Designated DJ.
  5. Create "beads" with Designated DJ using the dotting tool, then seal with good to go top coat.
