Aveda Eco-salon To Open in Glasgow

Aveda In April, a new Aveda-branded day spa and hair salon will open in Glasgow, Scotland.

Situated on Hanover Street in the historic GPO building in Glasgow's Merchant City, the £500,000 (670,770 euro, US$982,000) development is called James Dun's House and has been designed by Reis Design.

The 3,000sq ft (278.7sq m) facility will be branded as an Aveda Lifestyle Salon and have 20 hair stations and three treatment rooms while Aveda services featured will include hair care as well as spa and beauty treatments. Each client will receive a complimentary head and shoulder massage, hand massage and finishing touch make-up as part of the offering.

The James Dun's House company was founded in 1999 in Aberdeen, Scotland, by three partners.

In February 2004, the founders teamed up with Aveda to launch the first James Dun's House salon in Aberdeen. An Edinburgh Lifestyle location is now planned.
