New Orleans day spa pioneer Kim Dudek finally has her spa back together post-Katrina, and has turned her efforts to what she considers a underserved population; canines. Dudek is the founder of Dag's House, where she and her staff specialize in the shelter, fitness and rehabilitation of special needs dogs. She is also a contributing author to a new book, 'Dogs and the Women Who Love Them,' by Allen and Linda Anderson. The book is sub-titled 'Extraordinary True Stories of Loyalty, Healing and Inspiration,' and celebrates the special connection that women have with their dogs. Dudek is hosting a presentation and book-signing at Octavia Books in New Orleans on November 4, and is also planning to open a doggie spa, BellaDoggie, in the near future. More information can be found at the BellaDonna Facebook page.
