Biotone, manufacturer of professional massage and spa therapy products, recently donated $15,000 to the Massage Therapy Foundation (MTF). Biotone has donated more than $90,000 since 2004 to aid the MTF in their community service efforts. “It warms our heart to be able to contribute to the Massage Therapy Foundation’s mission to deliver the benefits of massage therapy to individuals who might otherwise not receive the personal touch and care due to economic or geographic circumstances,” says Jean Shea, founder and president of Biotone. The donation will go to two MTF causes, including “Integrating Massage with La Clinica de la Mariposa,” which provides massage therapy services to clients at a Costa Rican clinic who cannot afford healthcare, and “Touching Lives” in Houston, which encourages proactive wellness and offers the benefits of massage to people who live at or below 150 percent of the poverty level.
