The outlook is bright for multifunctional, natural, and dry-skin specific products. These and other skincare trends are revealed in market researcher Mintel’s new report, Facial Skincare. Here are a few recommendations to keep in stock at your spa or salon:
- Multifunctional products provide more benefits and save consumers time and money (four out of 10 consumers want multi-tasking products according to Mintel’s research).
- Products with ‘natural’ and ‘free from’ claims appeal to consumers (25 percent of consumers in the report say they look for products that are ‘free from’ certain ingredients).
- Dry skin is a top concern for clients, who tend to look for cleansers and treatments that hydrate and smooth (more men and women want products that improve the texture of skin).
