As you prepare for IECSC, look thru your profile on FaceBook and LinkedIn - make sure people will recognize you! The rules are very simple:
- Your eyes must be visible - this breeds trust! Make sure you use a Head Shot.
- You can NOT be on vacation - spring break photos are fine, but not appropriate before you go to a conference for work and NEVER on LinkedIn.
- The picture MUST look like you. If you have short hair, your profile photo cannot have long hair! You are NOT allowed to use a photo from 5 years ago, be yourself!
Why is your profile picture important? Because a picture adds 1,000 words to your profile. You want to be recognizable, make it easy for people to connect with you online and in the real world. Last but not least, review the rest of your profile, make sure it is an accurate representation of your life!
