I grew up in a very athletic, outdoorsy area and fill as much time as I can exploring and enjoying nature. The healthy lifestyle has definitely taken hold and spas are finding new and creative ways to introduce active pursuits to guests. Fun fitness, quirky yoga, and more are a huge hit. Athletic clothing is getting a stylish redesign as well, with fashion meeting function. With that active resort guest in mind, the St. Regis Monarch Beach (CA) worked with Cielo Rosso designer Michael Castillo to create a sporty bathing suit to prepare women for their next active adventure - whether that's SUPing in the Pacific with a St. Regis Surf Butler, hiking along the bluffs or doing a private beachfront yoga session. The custom two-peice top, paired with an active short, is made with durable Nylon and Lycra materials that can be adjusted to increase support, making it easy to go from long paddles and vinyasas to sunbathing on the sand. A sleek custom one-peice featuring a plunging neckline and open back is also available for those seeking a more leisurely beach/pool experience. The suit is available for $195 or as part of the resort’s Ocean Om Package, which includes a private beach yoga session, 60-minute massage at Spa Gaucin, and the custom swimsuit ($562).
Are your spa guests requesting more active options or are they happy to rejuvenate in stillness?
