The Red Door Salon and Spa (multiple locations) has announced its new partnership with Color Up Therapeutics, a Denver-based hemp and CBD product company. The partnership, which marks the first multiple-location spa partnership for Color Up Therapeutics, will bring Color Up Therapeutics products into the treatment rooms at select Red Door locations—depending on local hemp and CBD laws—for facials, body treatments, and nail services.
“The decision to add CBD to the menu is beyond being on trend in the market—it is based on the vast therapeutic potential of cannabinoids,” says Monique Blake, national director of body at The Red Door. “Presently, CBD, the nontoxic non-psycho-active component of the hemp plant, has an incredible healing range and impacts some of the biggest national health concerns such as pain, sleep, mood and stress. We are very excited to incorporate CBD into our services and home care assortment as part of our continuous efforts to source the best in beauty and wellness solutions for our guests.”
Beginning summer 2019, Red Door guests will first choose their base service and then build and enhance their experiences with unique add-ons and technologies from Color Up Therapeutics. Guests will be able to add CBD body and massage lotions into their massages, CBD oil into their manicures and pedicures, and CBD oil and lip treatments into their facials, among other options. In an effort to promote prolonged CBD use and aftercare, Color Up Therapeutics products such as body lotion, massage lotion, massage oil, bath bomb, lip balm, and the brand’s salve hero product will be available for purchase in The Red Door Salon & Spa’s retail boutiques.
These new CBD enhancements aim to provide benefits including increased mineralization, collagen production, moisturization, anti-inflammation, pain reduction, relaxation, and overall improved skin health. The Red Door’s signature Mini, Essential, and Escape services will provide the opportunity to combine CBD enhancements with other tailored additions that the spa offers, such as Hot Stones, Himalayan Salt Stones, DeStress Muscle Gel, Cupping, or Deep Tissue technique, for a rejuvenating and relaxing experience.
