Dermalogica and IDI Announce New Additions to Fall/Winter Curriculum

Dermalogica and The International Dermal Institute (IDI) are offering skin therapists and business owners a cutting-edge education in the increasingly competitive spa industry with new additions to the Fall/Winter 2011-2012 curriculum. At various locations across the United States, two new classes will be available at no charge for Dermalogica accounts. “Dermalogica and IDI have empowered skincare professionals through leadership and education for more than 25 years," says Annet King, director of education for both companies. “We’re excited to provide skin therapists with even more tools for success through these new classes.”

“The Dermalogica Exfoliation Workshop” is a one-day class that will focus on the benefits and risks of resurfacing products, ingredients, and techniques, offering a half-day of theory and half-day of hands-on training. Another class, “Bite-Size Business Solutions: Gaining Buzz and PR," is part of Dermologica’s definitive series about the business side of skincare. The two-hour class will offer invaluable strategies to spa and salon owners regarding building media campaigns and creating and maintaining brand identity. Lastly, IDI will present “Skin Series: Eczema and Psoriasis,” a three-hour session that will discuss and analyze these two complex inflammatory diseases. This class will be offered at select IDI locations. For more information, visit www.dermalogica.com and www.dermalinstitute.com.
