Face & Body Offers NCEA Certification Prep Class

The Face & Body Spa & Healthy Aging Conference and Expo® (www.FaceandBody.com), now in its 16th year, announces that on Saturday, August 16th, at Moscone North in San Francisco, California, a National NCEA Certification Prep Class will be available.

'NCEA's National Certification Program was founded on the principle of raising the esthetician's education to the level of a licensed Master Esthetician, currently only available in Utah and Virginia. As more skin care professionals voluntarily become certified, the NCEA will have the numbers to urge state regulatory boards to take a closer look at increasing educational requirements and their exisiting statutes and/or rules, 'says NCEA's executive director, Susanne S. Warfield. Currently the NCEA National Certification Program has over 500 Candidates in the process of becoming certified.

'We are extremely pleased to be offering the National NCEA Certification Prep Class at Face & Body this year,' says Melinda Taschetta-Millane, conference director for Face & Body and editor-in-chief of Skin Inc. magazine. 'Face & Body's conference program, and Skin Inc. magazine, place a large emphasis on the need for continuing education, and we feel this class is an ideal fit with our educational philosophy.'

Face & Body, August 16-18, also offers a product-neutral Advanced Education Conference Program and provides a forum for spa professionals and those involved in the industry including estheticians, massage therapists, medical therapists, plastic surgeons, dermatologists and other medical professionals, to connect with their colleagues who serve the healthy aging, wellness, personal care, fitness, cosmetic and nutrition industries.
