The Global Spa & Wellness Summit (GSWS) named Susie Ellis chairman and CEO. Ellis, who is president of SpaFinder Wellness, Inc., was a founder of the Summit and has served on its Board since it began in 2007. It also announced that Mia Kyricos, president of Kyricos & Associates, and Veer Singh, CEO of Vana Retreats & Hotels, PVT Ltd., have been appointed to its Board of Directors. Pete Ellis, who was a founder and chairman of the GSWS, was named chairman emeritus, in recognition of his leadership and unflagging commitment to making the Summit the most influential international organization of its kind, attracting delegates from more than 40 countries to its annual gathering each year. “Mia and Veer both bring exceptional talent, vision, and enthusiasm to the GSWS,” says Susie Ellis. “Their unique perspectives and experience will be extremely valuable to the Summit as we continue our mission of presenting an ongoing forum where collaboration and shared purpose benefit the industry, the people we serve, and the planet we share.” Joining Ellis as co-chairs of the 2013 Summit are Emanuel Berger, founder, Berger Hospitality Management GmbH, Switzerland, and Andrew Gibson, group director of spas, Mandarin Hotel Group, Hong Kong.
